Nacon basically got free money from Epic while Frogware got screwed on the loss of sales for the PC version. Scar Jo lost out on a lot of money and Disney made a bunch of subscriptions. It's similar to the Scarlett Johansson thing where Disney promised her a portion of her paycheck would come from box office sales but then they did a simul release with Disney+ which hurt box office sales. Nacon was withholding funds and they also did exclusivity deals that Frogware did not agree to and I believe didn't even receive a cut of. If you can't reach a mutually agreeable resolution, you go to court - end of story. If you have a dispute with a company you've signed a contract with, you negotiate with them in private. Yep, just like the Frogwares Sinking City situation, the publisher appears to be completely in the right legally and ethically, and the developer just doesn't want to abide by a contract they signed and so goes running to the gaming public to unprofessionally distort the situation and try to build up unwarranted public backing for their unethical, unprofessional behavior. They just want him to actually abide by the contract he signed. The publisher isn’t even fining him for his tantrum. PCGamer updated their article at the bottom.
